About this site
AI Coding Guide answers one question per article about AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI: what a setting does, why it is not taking effect, and how to configure it. Every article is grounded in the official documentation and published in Japanese and English.
Who runs it
The site is run by an individual software engineer (GitHub: YS-KID) who uses Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI daily for work and personal projects. Articles come from settings that were hard to figure out without reading the official docs closely. Summaries are also published on Zenn (@aicoding_guide) and X (@aicoding_guide).
How articles are made (editorial policy)
AI (Claude) is used for drafting. The decision to publish, and responsibility for accuracy, stay with the site operator.
- Topics come from real questions. Settings and errors people search for, behaviour that changed in a tool's changelog, and questions that keep coming up in the community. Broad "complete guide" topics are not written.
- Everything is checked against official sources. Setting keys, command names and defaults are only stated when confirmed in the official documentation or repository. Anything that could not be confirmed is marked as such in the text. The pages consulted are listed under "Primary sources" at the end of each article.
- Drafts pass automated checks. Required metadata, length, source format, internal link targets and title format are enforced by a linter before publishing.
- The operator reviews before publishing. Configuration examples are checked against the official description and, where possible, run.
- Verification date and version are shown. Each article states when it was verified and, where known, with which tool version.
Things this site does not do: unsourced statistics or anecdotes, invented examples, rewrites of other sites' articles, or settings that have not been confirmed.
Updates and corrections
These tools change every few weeks. The changelogs are checked daily, affected articles are updated with a visible "updated" date, and a weekly digest summarises the week's changes. Reported errors are verified, fixed, and noted in the article.
Publishing cadence
About three new articles a week, with English editions published at the weekend. Accuracy per article is prioritised over volume, and overlapping articles are merged rather than kept apart.
Advertising
To cover running costs, the site may show Google AdSense ads and use affiliate links. They never influence what is written or recommended. See the privacy policy.
